General Principles
TITU Journal of Integrative Medicine (TJIM) accepts submissions in the following categories:
- Original Research Articles
- Clinical Trials
- Observational Studies
- Review Articles
- Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
- Case Reports and Case Series
Submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere and must not have been previously published.
The corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the manuscript, as well as ensuring that all authors have approved the final version.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening, including assessment of scope, formatting, ethical compliance, and plagiarism detection. Only manuscripts that meet the journal’s standards will proceed to peer review.
The journal reserves the right to accept, reject, or make editorial and linguistic revisions.
All research must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards.
Changes in authorship after submission are not permitted.
Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be rejected without review.
Manuscript Preparation
Language
The official language of the journal is English.
Formatting
Manuscripts must be typed in Times New Roman (12 pt), double-spaced, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
Word Limits
- Short Original Articles: up to 3,000 words
- Full Original Articles: up to 6,000 words
- Review Articles: up to 9,000 words
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
The title should be concise and informative.
Include:
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations (if applicable)
- Corresponding author (marked with *)
- Email address
- ORCID iDs (recommended)
Abstract
A structured abstract (150–250 words) including:
- Introduction
- Objective
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Keywords
4–7 keywords should be provided using standard medical terminology.
Introduction
Clearly state the research problem, objective, and relevance. Avoid including results.
Materials and Methods
Provide sufficient detail for reproducibility.
For clinical studies: include study design, participants, interventions, ethical approval, and statistical analysis.
For review articles: describe search strategy and databases used.
Results
Present findings clearly without duplication. Tables and figures must be referenced in the text.
Mean values must include SD or SE where appropriate.
Discussion
Interpret findings, compare with previous studies, and highlight significance. Avoid repetition of results.
Conclusion
Summarize key findings in a concise manner.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
References
TITU Journal of Integrative Medicine (TJIM) follows the Vancouver referencing style.
- References must be numbered in order of appearance
- Use bracket format: [1], [2–4]
- Ensure consistency between in-text citations and reference list
Authors are strongly encouraged to include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for all references where available. References with DOIs will be prioritized for accuracy, indexing, and citation linking.
Reference Management Software
Authors are encouraged to use EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero.
